What Do We Do In PKC?
Here in PKC, not only do we ensure that each child is well-equipped with biblical foundations early in their lives, we also believe that the integration of fun is key to achieve an effective balance in learning.
Our Praise and Worship team, coupled with a dedicated live band (Sunday Senior Kidz) / CDs (Saturday & Sunday Junior Kidz) provide an avenue for children to express and immersed themselves in a powerful praise and worship experience specially created through catchy music and fun actions as we strongly believe that children regardless of age should be able to experience God through music and songs.
Our Games and Cheer team has ensured endless hours of fun through innovative and creative game ideas aiming at not only attracting the children’s attention and interest but also to develop and promote team work and self confidence. Creativity through the invention of new cheers every week has never cease to amaze us at the potential that each child has.
Our Teaching Curriculum is tailored to create and instill lasting impressions of fundamental Christian principles in every child. We do so by investing in various forms of teaching approaches, an example of it would be by inventing ourselves in today’s era of special effects and multimedia. Also, through drama, skits, clowning, puppet shows and life stories supported and backed with the usage of video clips, sound effects and a live band, we put on ourselves the heavy responsibility of imparting bible lessons and scriptural truths to the impressionable minds of the children.
Why Do We Do It?
Children Are A Gift From God Behold, children are a heritage from the LORD, the fruit of the womb a reward. Like arrows in the hand of a warrior are the children of one’s youth. Blessed is the man who fills his quiver with them! He shall not be put to shame when he speaks with his enemies in the gate. (Psalms 127:3-5)
Children Can Praise and Worship God But when the chief priests and the scribes saw the wonderful things that he did, and the children crying out in the temple, “Hosanna to the Son of David!” they were indignant, and they said to him, “Do you hear what these are saying?” And Jesus said to them, “Yes; have you never read, “‘Out of the mouth of infants and nursing babies you have prepared praise’?” (Matthew 21:15-16)
Children Are Examples Of Humble Faith In Jesus And calling to him a child, he put him in the midst of them and said, “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven. Whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven. “Whoever receives one such child in my name receives me, but whoever causes one of these little ones who believe in me to sin, it would be better for him to have a great millstone fastened around his neck and to be drowned in the depth of the sea. (Matthew 18:2-6)
“See that you do not despise one of these little ones. For I tell you that in heaven their angels always see the face of my Father who is in heaven. (Matthew 18:10)
Meekness Of A Child Now they were bringing even infants to him that he might touch them. And when the disciples saw it, they rebuked them. But Jesus called them to him, saying, “Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for to such belongs the kingdom of God. Truly, I say to you, whoever does not receive the kingdom of God like a child shall not enter it.” (Luke 18:15-17)
